Mental health matters, and on #WorldMentalHealthDay, October 10th, we’re teaming up with local charity Simpila for an educational and wellbeing workshop to support you in your work.

If you’re suffering from mental health issues, you’re far from alone. Did you know:

  • 61% of UK employees have experienced a mental health issue due to work or where work was a contributing factor.
  • 1 in 5 people take a day off due to stress. Yet, 90% of these people cited a different reason for their sickness.
  • 1 in 6 workers will experience depression, anxiety, or problems related to stress at any one time.

During the event, Simpila’s mental health experts will talk about the impact of mental health in the workplace and share valuable tips. RSVP on Pip to attend the event and learn helpful tips.

Here are a few to consider:

  • Get one of your team members to become a mental health first aider, so colleagues have someone to connect with when they’re feeling stressed or under pressure.
  • Set clear boundaries regarding after-hours communication to ensure you can disconnect and recharge.
  • Designate quiet spaces or wellness pods where employees can take a break during the day.

At Winnersh Triangle, we’re always looking to promote work-life balance and provide a boost to your wellbeing from our community events to our onsite amenities and open green spaces, to create high quality working environment to work in.

Connecting with nature is well known to combat stress. So, why not take your team on a Wellbeing Walk around the network of walking and cycling paths across the business  park or have a Team Coffee & Cake at The Exchange to have a break and a chat.
