On Thursday 2nd May, we kicked off May with a sustainable travel day on The Green, suggesting ways to support green travel, offering free bike check-ups from an expert mechanic and welcoming Europe’s leading BMX show, as well as some delicious street food from The Chipsmyth and Mexican Odyssey.
When it comes to transport connections, Winnersh Triangle is hard to beat. The Park has its own dedicated rail station just a three-minute walk from the Piazza, providing direct and frequent rail services to Central London and Reading, with trains running every 30 minutes.
We are also committed to making the park an easier place to drive an electric vehicle, so we have two 50kw InstaVolt electric charging stations which are easy to use and available on a pay-as-you-go basis with no subscription or membership required. Drivers simply tap their contactless credit or debit card, charge up and go.
Katharine Westcar, Head of Marketing at Winnersh Triangle said: “Commitment to sustainable development is one of our core principles. Energy efficiency is designed into every building and we see it as our duty to make our carbon footprint as small as possible.
“Our commitment to these principles extends to the wider environment of Winnersh Triangle, with free bicycles, great public transport links, Park & Ride, car sharing and MyJourney initiatives, so everyone can play their part in building a more sustainable future.
“Through careful design, planning and management we aim to minimise our impact on the environment and maximise the benefit to the wider community.”
