“Save time, money and improve health and fitness by changing how you travel” was the focus of the Winnersh Triangle community during a recent Sustainable Travel Roadshow at the business park.

Hosted by Winnersh Triangle in partnership with My Journey Wokingham, the free event was part of a borough-wide sustainable travel campaign that aims to inspire travel by alternative modes. It was also timed to coincide with National Bike Week.

Highlights of the day included the chance to test drive a range of electric vehicles from Nissan, Tesla and BMW, as well as folding Brompton bikes; free security bike marking; a free cycle service from Dr Bike; and fitness advice from corporate wellbeing specialists The Tonic. Travel advisors from My Journey Wokingham were on hand to help plan greener ways to travel around and to answer questions.

Occupiers also enjoyed the opportunity of a free ‘grab and go’ lunch, after collecting three stamps from any of the exhibitors.

Winnersh Triangle was delighted to see around 700 attendees turn up throughout the day, making the roadshow the largest event of its kind to ever take place at the park.
