Reacting to Department for Transport plans to upgrade the M4 into a ‘smart motorway’ from junctions 3 to 12, Will Lawrie, PATRIZIA asset manager, commented:
“We’re very encouraged by these plans to upgrade the M4. For the 3,000 people and 60 companies who trade at Winnersh Triangle, we welcome the opportunities for faster, more reliable transport connections.
“If we want to keep growing the local economy and attracting investment, we need to link it better to the rest of the country and to London in particular.
“A more reliable M4 would deliver a huge boost to the region and improved road access would make Winnersh Triangle even more attractive commercially, both to businesses at an operational level and also to commuters.
“If we want to continue to grow and develop, we need projects like this to enable the flow of commerce to increase sustainably – with all the benefits they bring to communities and businesses.”
